I should’ve stayed away from this
1. Four of the characters and some of the plot are rip offs of ACOTAR
2. You can’t put dragons and expect them to save your book if they’re part of the plot but actually useless and you don’t develop them - so also a try-rip off of Fourth Wing
3. The characters are so bland and overdone, oh wow a small woman and a BIG LARGE man who instantly love each other and want to have sex
4. You want to tell me the main character finds out she’s missing an entire life of memories and instead of wanting to know what happened she just decides to ignore that? She just thinks “yes I will ignore my previous life, I’ve been tortured and I don’t know what’s been happening to me or why I’ve got a sentient being that takes over sometimes SO SURELY it’s better if I stay in the dark”
5. So many plot points and you give us nothing
6. They’re “fae” and not human so by 50 pages in I was TIRED of reading “that male” and “that female” when referring to people
7. The bones of this book could be interesting but it’s trying too much and doesn’t have the skill to do it, you can’t just put twist after twist after twist to hook readers into the book but fail to have any depth in characters or world
8. We get it, the main character wants REVENGE, I don’t need to read it every chapter
Give this a miss because it’s too long to waste your time, I kept reading in the hopes of closing some plot points and seeing the story going somewhere but I’m done
