Range: Why Generalists Triumph in a Specialized World by David Epstein

3.0

The big idea in this book is very important. The notion that early specialization is not only not helpful but may be detrimental to growth and innovation is a rarely heard thing today. I found the book insightful and it left me wondering how my own path and exploring various topics of interest has informed my career growth. That said, I found many of the stories is a bit too detailed and meandering for my taste. At times I was flipping through pages to get to the next story. Therefore, the three star rating. The main theme of the book, however, is five stars.
