Tempting by Bella Matthews

5.0

Tempting by Bella Matthews was the second book by her i read and it was so sweet. I loved Bella's writing style in Sweet Spot so i knew i wanted to read this one and it didnt disappoint.

Deacon was my favorite MMC but Nixon said "here hold my beer" this man was AMAZING -- they now share that spot. I loved getting to watch all of the relationships Brynlee had with her cousins who were more like her sisters, Kenzie being one of them. I loved finally getting to see Kenzie got her happy ending, she had known Nixon for most of her life but unbeknownst to her he had the biggest crush on her all along.
This book gave me all the feels and their chats were hilarious and i couldnt stop laughing while reading them.

Nixon was such an amazing man and brother, we got to watch his character develop throughout Playing to Win series and now it came full circle in the first book of the Red Lips & White Lips series. Once Nixon realized Kenzie was back he bulldozed his way into it with no intention of leaving no matter what he told her. He took her boring life and flipped it on its head with no intent of fixing it. She was always meant to be his but he just had to find a way to make her see it too.

Kenzie was career focused and had no interest in guys or relationships until she returned to Kroydon Hills when she watched all those closest to her had found love and she was slowly realizing that was something she wanted. She wasnt interested in anything long term because she was still working on her career but thanks to Nixon and his "selfless" offer of himself she couldnt say no no matter how much she tried (which wasnt a lot). She kept to herself for so many years while going through school and residency that once she was back in the chaos of their family she had a bit of transition to make.

The transitions throughout this story went so smoothly it pulled you in and you didnt realize how easily and quickly you move through the pages. I LOVED how patient Nixon was with her, he knew he needed to take it slow because she wasnt used to having a guy constantly in her life. He understood how her life could be busy and he never judged her or got mad when she wasnt around. They truly were made for each other.
