This is a really good conclusion to a great story! I do find SJM’s writing style eye-rollingly repetitive, and this book would have been better if it was trimmed down by about 300 pages. That said, the woman has created a fun world, fantastic adventures, solid motivations for good characters, and some legitimately emotional moments.
If you can choke down the first book (which is so awful I almost dnf’d it, but I heard she wrote it when she was in high school. So fair enough), the rest of the series is worth it :)
