Claire is on the run from something in her past. When she quits her band, she stays in Highland Georgia. She finds a job helping a shut in around her house and keeps to herself as much as possible.
When she runs into a stranger, Holt, he offers her some help. She’s not accustomed to accepting help but gradually he earns her trust and maybe her heart.
Opinion
This story is absolutely sweet. The budding romance between the two characters builds like a low burning fire. With Holts roots in Highland and Claire wanting nothing of staying, the two teeter on heartbreak if they don’t find a happy middle. This is a perfect vacation read, sweet and easy flowing.
