• Modern Hades Hook & Wendy retelling

“To think, it all started with a little bit of faith.
Misplaced trust.
Missing pixie dust.
And a villain who just needed to steal a little love.”

I really liked this. It was dark and emotional. The revenge plot was one twisty hell of a ride. I had a hunch but was surprised nevertheless. Simple and great writing style.

Wendy. Loyal, obedient, strong and independent. I mean, that’s what happens when you have a dead mother, and non present father. Though, Wendy’s soft hearted kindness called out to me, she’s quick to forgive (it was too good to be true, I expected her to change her mind at the last minute).

Hook. Yeah, the usual possessive, protective, alpha with a dark past. His past torment was hard to read about and in risk of sounding like a lovesick puppy, I did understand his reasons for revenge. Hook was cool.

Overall, this was an emotional, dark and sensual read.
