The Lying Life of Adults by Elena Ferrante
4.0

I don’t even know how I feel about this. Maybe time will reveal more but I suspect it just wasn’t for me. I loved all
the detail accorded to the bracelet, it felt so real that something so small can be such a prominent symbol for an adolescent. Otherwise, I found Giovanna’s actions lacking something (sense, maybe? Or maybe not)? I thought the idea of Vittoria was interesting but played out in a way that didn’t resonate with me as much. High stars because it’s Ferrante and beautifully written, but nowhere close to Brilliant Friend (which is to be expected).
