Petra Palerno has done it again! ๐ธ๐ธI am absolutely obsessed with the bubble babes series + this book did not disappoint.
Petra does such a good job making strong female characters that you can't help but love from page one. Her characters and their growth just force you to want to run back begging for more. (Hello here I am begging for more!) I was a little hesitant going into this book as I was not a fan of Duke Raf'ere, he was sooo unlikable in the first two books, but I was interested to see how she would redeem him. And ohhhhh did he get his redemption arc๐โฅ๏ธ
Like of course he's just a misunderstood Duke with insecurities + and overwhelming amount of love for his human mate ?! ๐ญ๐ฅน๐คญ I absolutely loved seeing his soft side with Nubbins and seeing how much he loved Marta, even when he wouldn't admit it to himself. His growth throughout the book made me so happy, like how he was so ready to give Marta up if it meant that Marta was happy and thriving. Marta fighting for Raf'ere at the end, oh i was sobbing my eyes out.
I was absolutely obsessedddd with our side characters in the Reef estate ๐ฅฐ Jens'i was just so lovable + was constantly on team Marta+Raf'ere which I loved. I also loved how much of a confidante he was for Raf'ere + encouraging him to do the right thing, i feel like their friendship is my favorite of the series so far โฅ๏ธ especially since Jens'i was always looking out for Marta + her safety ๐ฅน Ugh I just loved Jens'i's character and hope we get more of him in the future!!!!
Okay now the spice ?! NEXT. LEVEL. I devoured the spice in bubble babes 1 + 2, and thought that I went into this one knowing what I signed up for. Boy was I wrong !! The spice was out of this world (pun intended) ๐ถ๏ธ Raf'ere knows his way around a woman, even if she's a human + boy did he deliver every single time ๐ฅต๐ฅต we also got all of my favorite lines ?! Good girl, use your words + eyes up here OH I ABOUT DIED DEAD reading those ! + the toys ?! Oh the pearls were clutched in the best way possible ๐ฅต๐๐คญ
Petra Palerno knows how to write an amazing alien romance book ๐๐ผ๐๐ผ even if you don't know if you'll like an alien romance, Petra will have you in love with these fi'len men ๐โฅ๏ธ
