The 3/4 star that I give this book is totally b/c I listened to this on audiobook, and I really thought the audiobook version was done very well. To be honest, I did go into this book with higher expectations, b/c of all of the positive reviews on it. I thought it was a decent mystery/thriller, and I personally enjoyed the dashes of humor and romance that were thrown in. Anyone who has never grown up in a tiny town will never understand how everyone knows everyone's business, and everyone has probably slept with everyone. Hey! There isn't much else to do in a small town, ok! haha I loved the FMC attitude, and her grandmother. It really bugged me though why everyone in this town was so quick to assume the worst about Lucy. Even her husband and family chose to believe someone over her. That was the part that just never settled right with me in the plot. I also found the hallucinations a bit weird, and jarring. There were definitely some surprises, and twists, but there was nothing jaw dropping about any of the characters or the plot. If you're a hardcore thriller fan that likes to be kept on the edge of your seat, then you will probably be disappointed in this one.
