Chaser by Kylie Scott

Oh well, this was a disappointement... I didn’t particularly like this book, the latest one in the Dive Bar series.
The pacing of this book was too slow. There really isn't all that much happening and at several points during the story, it just drags along. But by far my biggest problem is with the characters and the inconsistency of them (especially Nell - she was a giant pain in the ass towards Eric. I get that they had a thing and he wasn't there for her when she lost the baby but come on, she was a huge bitch towards him for most of the book for no real reason., and Joe and Alex). I think this inconsistency of characters throughout the series and especially the horrible development of Nell & absolutely no chemistry between the hero and heroine ruined big parts of this story for me. And don't get me started on Eric, the manwhore turned "daddy" a bit too cleanly for my liking. While he showed interest in Jean and put effort into changing his ways, which seemed to be too easy for someone of his character, he was more into Jean's baby at times than Jean herself.
Chaser just didn’t do it for me. Pretty predictable and blah. Not enough there to make it a higher rating from me.
2.5 stars (it gets an extra half of star for the cover because they guy on there is just simply delicious)
