This book was fun and had a good concept, but it just didn't hit like I needed it to. I found the fmc to be annoying at times (yes I know she had to grow but idc)! For someone who has always made her choices for others I was baffled at how little she thought about her actions in this book. She also had a phd so I know she wasn't dull mentally.
I also was slightly confused when they had their love confession. I just didn't believe in their relationship. I typically do not enjoy romance books that are so heavily focused on the physical nature. This book was not smut heavy, yet I did not see an emotional connection.
I know i've went into detail about why I disliked it, but I still enjoyed this book. I'm just not completely obsessed with these characters. I love forced proximity, so I enjoyed how they were roommates and had to around each other. I can see why so many people enjoy(ed) this book/universe but it just did not hit the mark for me.
