This was so good! The characters were definitely complex in this new instalment to the Scythe series, and the plot was very exciting! I loved how this flowed really well, and I thought that the literary decisions made by Shusterman were logical, and every outcome made sense with the given information. Citra’s relationship with Rowan is refreshing throughout the book is refreshing, but I’m hoping to see more of it in The Toll. Curie and Goddard’s battle for the High Blade was thrilling, and the cliffhanger was astronomical! So excited for #3!
