Happily Never After by Isabella Fontaine, Ken Brosky

3.0

My name is Alice, and I'm a hero.

Alice Goodenough volunteers at the library and fights the Corrupted. The Corrupted are fairy tale characters that are not quite what they seem. Along with her rabbit sidekick and trusty magic pen, she sets out to right wrongs.

I did not read the first book in the series which is something I rarely do. That being said, I was a little lost coming into the story. I think perhaps it would make more sense if I knew the background. The magic pen is an interesting weapon and something I enjoyed about the tale. I will not look at Cinderella the same way again.
