My first Rooney. Not bad but I wouldn't immediately pick her up again so soon. Her writing is different with the infamous no dialogues which is interesting to read. But I do think the power of her writing is in the character's arguments. Their banter and back and forth was engaging to read.
The downside of her writing is I feel the characters became shallow. Even though they experience things I deeply relate to, I don't feel the emotional attachment. The characters feel expressionless and sterile. I still have no idea what purpose Felix serves in the story. For me this book story is very easy to drop and kinda hard to pick up again. This took me way longer to finish than usual.
