Random Sh*t Flying Through the Air by Jackson Ford

Did not finish book.
DNF @ pg 275.

It just got kinda overwhelmingly dark with massive loss of human life. I was hoping for more of a fun romp like the first one was.

I don't like stories where the main character knows what they have to do but just can't or wont - it feels like the lazy way to do character flaws, or maybe it's just too intensely frustrating. In any case, that made me dislike our main protagonist, which left me with two other PoV characters: a psychopathic 4 year old and his spineless deluded mother. Generally speaking, I need to like at least one character in a story, and here I did not.
