Amendment, after digesting for a bit: is it The Best Sci-Fi ever? No. Plot holes yes, lacking characterisation, yes. But from a whole bunch of stuff that I read in the past couple years, it was by far the most enjoyable, I love ~the vibes~ and just don't care.
