A Break with Charity: A Story about the Salem Witch Trials by Ann Rinaldi

4.0

This book was actually a lot better than I thought it would be. As the story went on, it got better and better. Though it was a little confusing at first, I actually liked the format of the book, where it started with the end, and on the next page went back to the beginning. It is a fairly easy read... I read the last 70 pages in a little over half an hour. Though at times it can be a little distressing because there are those characters that you are just obliged to hate, and you do. Although my original intent was to read this book before we went to Salem (which was 3 years ago) it was nice to have read it after being there and learning a little about the trials.
