天官赐福 [Tiān Guān Cì Fú]
by Mo Xiang Tong Xiu
Thank all the gods, buddhas and ghosts that I still have the donghua and manhua, as I'm not even close to being ready to say goodbye to these characters!!
This book really has everything, it's a truly beautiful story but still sometimes a bit scary and oh did I mention SAD?! In addition, it's funny, romantic, exciting, etc., etc., and with really lively and interesting characters. I love how MXTX's characters are morally grey instead of black and white like in so many other stories. It's really refreshing!
It's the reader's centuries-old dilemma: I wish I was able to experience the magic of reading this book again for the first time but at the same time, I'm happy I cannot, since I never want to return to the dark days I spent living without this story.
While reading, Hua Cheng quickly became my favourite character and I know he'll forever remain as one of my all time favourite characters. I already miss him terribly (and Hualian in general) just by taking a short break from fangirling in order to write this review! Needless to say, Hualian will also forever remain as one of my all time favourite OTPs (how could it not?!)
Now, since I'm finally done writing this review (and hopefully convincing everybody to do themselves a favour and read this book), I can go back to screaming and ugly crying about Hualian!
