The Unquiet Bones by Loreth Anne White
dark
mysterious
tense
medium-paced
- Plot- or character-driven? A mix
- Strong character development? It's complicated
- Loveable characters? No
- Diverse cast of characters? Yes
- Flaws of characters a main focus? Yes
2.0
pros: was genuinely shocked multiple times!!
cons:
1. WAY TOO MANY POV'S/CHARACTERS (each chapter is written in 3rd person but the cast consists of like 10 people and follows each one so it was easy to get confused about who is who - needed a chart lol)
2. one of the many twists was one of my personal *triggers* that anger me in books so if i would have known about it, i would not have read this book
overall, it was fine. was going to rate it a 3 but after reading the 1 and 2 star reviews made me realize that i did not like this book as much as i thought lol, so i am lowering my rating to a 2.
this was my first loreth anne white, while i did not live it, i am interested to try more books from this author
