Once again, Robert Macfarlane is one of the most elegant and beautiful writers of our time. The first half of the book I was so claustrophobic and terrified by the writing it took weeks to read, but the back half I tore through with the same fervor of the entity of his ‘Is A River Alive?’. You’ll understand earth and our relationship to it in ways you never have before. A gorgeous journey.
