It was fascinating to follow Murderbot's investigation of the defining event of its past, the massacre at Ganaka Pit, even if that investigation winds up being a bit unsatisfying... but that lays the groundwork for some significant character development. And besides, for much of the book we're just watching Murderbot do what it does best as a SecUnit: provide security for its clients while constantly judging them, but in a lovable way. It was a fun read!
