I wanted a short romance, that I didn't have to focus too hard on. This was a sweet but smutty romance.  No conflict, no hassles, just 3 grownups acknowledging what they want and feel. There are times that books with conflict can feel a little childish, like the participants have grown up enough to handle communication properly. This novella went in the opposite direction, there was no conflict so no communication was needed. While being less than 90 pages it doesn't give much space to have open and honest communication. It still felt a little, insta-love.
But honestly, I am over thinking this sweet little romance. It's not got all the deep highs and lows of a RL relationship,  and I should just accept it as such.
I would say I love the plus size representation in the book, the main character and at least one of her friends were plus sized.  There were persons of differing ethnicities in the side characters (whom I assume all have their own books in the series). EM has also written romances with disabled main characters too. I love that they are not all cookie cutter Kens and Barbie's.
