Tame Me: Part 1 by Sirena Song

4.25

Part 1: 4.25 stars
Part 2: 3 stars
Full story: 3.75 stars

I dnf’d the first two books in the Knotty Pines series, but I’m glad I read this one!

I loved the dynamic between Madison (a bratty omega FMC whose upbringing taught her to look for financial stability, not love) and the Kings, a pack of 4 alphas and 1 beta. It started off as a “courting of convenience” (they’re after a public courtship as cover for a revenge plot they’ve got going, and she thinks it’s just for 3 months before they leave like all alphas do), but it quickly moved onto lots of praise and showing her “a safe place to land”. 🥹

I also really liked the different relationships within the pack — Vincent and Avery were an established alpha/beta pair, but other relationships developed during the book in really sweet ways as well.

What I didn’t like as much was the abundance of sex scenes. I KNOW. I’ve read and enjoyed books which were 90% smut, but I think here it took me away from the relationships and the plot. (Or am I the only reading this for the relationship and plot?? 😅) This was mainly an issue in Part 2 —  I ended up skimming most of the middle, because almost all of the relationships had settled earlier and didn’t have any tension left to resolve, and we just needed the overarching plot to wrap up.
