I realize I’m in the minority of reviewers here. I wasn’t a fan of the first book but I didn’t know it was the same author until further in the book. I guess I don’t like this style of hodge podge writing. I felt a lack of storytelling and a wish to be writing a who’s who dictionary of notable literary giants. Even though the ending was well done and worth the struggle, the theme is thrown in the reader’s face a million times. Yes, women are slighted. Yes, there’s sexism. Again and again. Yes.
