Culture Warlords: My Journey Into the Dark Web of White Supremacy by Talia Lavin
4.0
An interesting dive into specific sections of the deep web. The author follows a trail starting at white supremacy and following the rabbit trail down through religious extremists and misogyny. Reading about these "communities" from the point of view of a Jewish woman hit a lot differently than my own encounters and research.
I feel that as the book goes on, the author lets her objectivity slip into anger and personal political bias, which is understandable given the long time she spent researching the people who actively hate and threaten her.
Overall I found it a worthy read to better understand a differing experience and point of view around this type of hate.
