Wayward
by Blake Crouch
Well, no second series slump here. If anything this second Wayward Pines book bumps the story into overdrive. It’s been a while since I read the first book, so it did take me a few chapters to get back into the world, but not too long.
Honestly, this could have been a single book broken into three parts instead of three separate books. But I guess I get why Crouch didn’t want one almost 1000 pg book, and opted for 3x 300ish pgs books.
I like that we got to see behind the curtain in this book. We started to get more insight into why things are happening. And what a way to end a book, I'm starting book 3 NOW! Can’t wait to read how Blake wraps this all up.
