Blood on Her Tongue by Johanna van Veen
5.0
This was the second novel I’ve read by Johanna Van Veen and she did not disappoint at all. I have been waiting a whole year for this book and it was for sure worth the wait! A dark, grim, gothic tale about two twin sisters who will do anything for each other. I believe this book is an analogy for how mental illness can run through a family and it can change others for the better or for the worst. It just depends on who will be there for you when you need help the most, despite how heavy and difficult it can be; and those who toss you aside when things start to become worse. It’s best to not let history repeat itself and to just help loved ones when they need it most; not neglect them.
