The Write Place by Allie Samberts

Mackenzie “Mac” Milcrest is a high school English teacher along with her best friend Jenny. Daniel Evans is a world famous writer who is currently suffering from writers block. One night, Jenny drags Mac out to a local bar and she meets Daniel, but she is unaware of who Daniel actually is until she sees him again in her school building. Apparently, Daniel is working on a new book related to the teaching profession and the head of the English department recommended he observe “Miss Mac” to help him get more clarity. Naturally, she is furious when she finds out who he really is, but can she see past this and find a way for them to work together to grow in their own professions?

This book was such a sweet, slow burning romcom with a little spice that tugged at my heartstrings. I absolutely loved all of the characters and the relationships between them. Jenny was my favorite because she’s hilarious and her love for her best friend, Mac, was heartwarming. This was the author’s debut novel and I absolutely loved it! I can’t wait for the next book in the series!

Thank you so much to the author, Allie Samberts, for an ARC of this book in exchange for my honest review.
