Cookies are one of those things that I find I can't just improvise and make from scratch without following a more structured recipe. This cookbook has some fairly amazing traditional and modern cookie recipes with a wide range of flavor profiles. There are plenty of instructions for substitutions and options for different mix-ins or things like egg replacers. Shockingly, I have not yet made every single recipe in this book!

I'd recommend this as a great "go to" cookie book for everyone who enjoys baking. The recipes are not overly complicated and the ingredients are easily found in your local Whole Foods or other natural grocery store.
