1.5 rounding up. you’d think that a book in the format of audio recordings would be better as an audiobook but i think that made my experience worse (due to some bad accents and odd phrasing choices). not sure what i was expecting but i do think this was a hugeeeee step down in quality from percy jackson. i never finished the series the first time so younger me must have agreed. unfortunately, i will be continuing this time bc i saw something intriguing on tiktok about this series and i guess i enjoy rotting my brain.

i have more in depth thoughts but tbh it’s not worth it to write it all out
