The third act break up was unnecessary to me. Eden got annoying towards the end. I also can’t imagine that Drew’s dad (regardless of his wealth) didn’t get ANY time (he is a Black man in the south after all). I’m also not a fan of the “damn, I can’t believe I got pregnant even though I didn’t do anything to stop it from happening” trope. The development of the characters is what saved this book for me.
