The Music Shop by Rachel Joyce
I abandoned this book. Maybe it gets better, but I'll never know. My loss, I'm sure.
It's not bad, it's just not for me. Or for the "me" right now. Or for any future "me" I can imagine, but the universe is vast and miraculous.
However if you want to read a well-written sweet (I assume; I'm pretty sure it's not a tragedy) story about a German frau who secretly falls in love (at first sight) with, and shyly courts, a quirky vinyl-obsessed music nice guy who secretly (well, to them, not so secret to the cast of quirky supporting chatacters) loves her back, then this is your book.
