Absolutely charming! This is the type of book that makes me think that I *can* like cozy? I think it was the format that made it work for me, because usually I'm bored with cozy books, but when everything is written in letters it kind of cuts out all the extraneous nonsense and focuses the scope of the book on what's important: the growing relationship between an introverted, oblivious man and his new friend who is absolutely determined to get him out of the house.
This was just one of those books that just worked for me. I loved the format, the characters, the romance, the writing. Just everything was so charming and lovely and sweet. After the first few letters that introduced this version of a queernorm regency London, I was sucked into Gavin's world and was so excited to hear what happened recently. And I loved seeing the different in his relationships with his family just through the way he wrote. I cannot wait to continue this series and see more from this world.
