Winterset Hollow by Jonathan Edward Durham

4.0

Can you survive knowing the truth about your heroes? (This book was the definition of “childhood ruined”)

As expected, this was brutal and vengeful, even slightly melancholic in some parts. An enjoyable October read!

The characters were pretty believable, if maybe a touch too comical in some parts. Joking during life and death situations can sometimes affect my suspension of disbelief, but maybe that’s just a personal thing.

Fast-paced enough for me, and the ending gave me what I wanted. Even if, to get there, I was a little annoyed by a certain character’s decision. The story felt resolved and complete by the end.
