Generally a very fun and silly book. I liked the ironic distance and the original outlook of the world, and appreciated the eccentric and innovative plot. It has a very British sort of humour to it, especially with upholding social rules and norms of social interaction despite the Earth being blown up and one being forced to travel the universe with aliens. Despite all of that, I still found it way too long, as 776 pages is too long just to be silly.
