Women, Race, & Class by Angela Y. Davis
4.0
An exploration of the intersections of the social movements of feminism, Black liberation, and worker’s rights. The history was well picked out for its salience to the analysis, and I enjoyed that the themes and analysis were not over explained or spoon fed to the reader.
Honestly an important read for anyone involved in social justice movements, highlighting the key histories that have led to the barriers we face to progress today.
Some of the quotes and facts were repeated verbatim within the same chapter or the immediate following chapter, so it felt like they had all been written independently at times and not part of the flow of a cohesive book/analysis.
