Retelling of the Galatea and Pygmalion myth.
This short story questions both the mutual affection as well as the happy ever after the two figures are said to have had. Because Pygmalion hated women to his core, him hence becoming a loving husband seems out of the question, marking the premise of this text.
Personally I find this not only to be quite a plausible reading, but I am adopting it as my canon as well!
