I thought this was a really interesting premise and overall it was done well. I’ve definitely never read a book like it.
I enjoyed the use of second person and it helped the feeling of discovering what had happened as Maali found out himself.
That being said, I’m not sure there were many likeable characters (even if I understood why they were flawed) and I felt like even though (nearly) the entire book was over a week, the book felt very slow and did drag at times.
It was cool that as I have visited Sri Lanka, I knew and could visualise many of the places that were talked about.
Whilst I didn’t guess all the twists, I did correctly guess who killed him
