I didn't know what to expect with this book. It's not a typical book I would pick up, and it seemed really unassuming. But I loved the fact that the main characters were all women past their "prime" according to men. The idea of women having all this power appeals to me and makes me giddy. What Harriet, Jo, and Nessa accomplished made me cry. It was revenge  and victory for all the girls, some who didn't make it out, and some, like me, who will forever bear scars. I applaud this author for tackling this book and writing what so many of us wish we could do.And not putting on display the killers and the monsters, but the women who helped and fought for the victims and the survivors. I cheered when they all had their victory, and when the men died, deaths that they so rightly deserved. And that twist, that broke my heart. How many women turn a blind eye to those monsters and allow it to continue? I adore this book! It's a victory and a battle cry to all women. We are never past our prime and we have more power than we even know. All we have to do is try and open our eyes!!
