An easy enough read. I guess this is what they call "charming".

Alice sees a fortune teller who gives her a mysterious reading. Wit  the encouragement of her neighbor, she travels to Istanbul to figure out what the fortune teller was telling her and to meet a mysterious important man.

I hated the romantic aspect. I didn't care for the neighbor, who seemed curmudgeonly, and not in a charming way. He lied constantly and was petulant when he didn't get exactly his way.

There were some annoying red herrings when it came to the tour guide.

The pacing felt odd. At times we were told where they had dinner each night though nothing happened, yet other parts seemed rushed.
