I had to force myself to not read this all in one sitting because I loved it so much and didn’t want it to end. This is an instant favorite and I’m already looking forward to re-reading.

Absolutely beautiful literary writing. My favorite books are the ones that have the same smartness as a painting, and The Collector lives up to that desire completely. I’m left heartbroken and in awe of Miranda.

Fowles writes the artist’s mind with accuracy and beauty. He writes the psychopath’s terrifyingly.
