The Wealthy Barber Returns by David Chilton

5.0

What I Learned: The happiest and most satisfied investors are usually those that invest in an index fund and aren't checking the market every hour but trusting that the balance will work out in their favour in the long run.

This was a nice addendum to The Wealthy Barber and although I'm glad that I read that first, I actually liked this one a lot more. The format was still casual and humorous but I enjoyed the fact that it was straight-forward and to-the-point. He does a good job of making investing seem pretty simple and answered the questions I had after his last book. The financial advice was great, but equally important were the chapters on status anxiety and the importance of reframing our idea of success.
