White Rose Painted Red by Elena Lawson

4.5

This book is exactly what it promises to be: dark, twisty, and addictive in the way only unhinged, revenge-fueled poly romances can be. I went in expecting some chaos and spice, and what I got was a full-on descent into obsession, found family, and "touch her and die" devotion from not one, not two, but three beautifully broken men.

Elijah is the calm before the storm, Atticus is the storm itself, and Seven, oh, Seven, is the kind of quietly intense chaos that sneaks up on you and never lets go. I didn't expect to love them all as much as I did, but here I am, mentally curled up on that cursed mountain estate like I belong. The slow shift from survival to connection was one of my favorite parts, watching the FMC stand her ground, push back, and grow into the fire they never expected her to wield.

And the setting? That isolated mountain home dripping with secrets and shadows made the perfect backdrop. It felt suffocating and sacred all at once. The forced proximity, shared pain, and need for vengeance bound them all together in ways that felt raw and real, even when the lines between love, control, and obsession blurred to near-invisibility.

The dog named after me? 10/10 no notes.

This is one of those reads that dances right on the edge of comfort and madness, and that’s exactly why it works. It’s not soft, it’s not safe, and it’s definitely not for everyone. But if you like your romance a little twisted, your men a little ruined, and your story full of blood, steam, and loyalty carved into bone, you’re going to eat this up like I did.
