Group: How One Therapist and a Circle of Strangers Saved My Life by Christie Tate
2.0
This book is complicated to review.
It started off on a really interesting note - the author was going to *unconventional* therapy to address her intimacy issues, eating disorder, and childhood trauma from a trip to Hawaii. I enjoyed listening as she worked through these issues and learning more about group therapy. But as the "prescriptions" rolled in, this book turned in to an account of some very ethically questionable therapy and a very intimate description of her very unhealthy sex life.
As much as I want to applaud the author for her progress, I disliked many elements of this book.
