3.5. Unlike many reviewers, I liked both protagonists in Doller's third het romance a lot. Their quick dive into a sexual relationship made sense, given their characters and backstories, especially rolling stone Carla, who uses sex to divert herself from facing the hard emotional stuff. And Doller's trademark quiet, understated writing and deft drawing of character are on strong display here, too. What brought this down to 3.5 stars for me was that the characters' development arcs (especially Eamon's) felt underdeveloped and a bit rushed.
