A Killer's Game by Isabella Maldonado

3.0

I really wanted to like this book. The prose is easy to read and mostly enjoyable. The mystery was well done, and I liked the premise of the “game” Dani has to play.

I really struggled with the way Dani is written. She’s sanctimonious. We understand you’re working with contract killers and they suck, you don’t have to tell us how morally bankrupt they are every time they talk. Between that and the over-explanation of every detail we picked up in the dialogue, I had a hard time really enjoying the book.
