I waited a long time to read this book. I don't usually like fantasy but for me the fantasy elements in this book were approached from a very human perspective. It felt earthy and gritty and I love the dystopian society that develops. The characters are flawed and real and conflicted which makes them likable and relatable even in pretty crazy situations. I absolutely loved every minute of this book abs can't wait to devour the rest of the series.
