Precious Cargo: My Year of Driving the Kids on School Bus 3077
by Craig Davidson
When I saw the 3.66 average star-rating for this on Goodreads, I was a bit surprised. I had borrowed this book from my church lending library, and they're pretty committed to solid reads. Plus, I had just started in, and it seemed entertaining so far. Having read through the entire book (well, I skimmed the last 2 chapters), I now understand. The book *is* somewhat entertaining... and that's about it. I was expecting some significant insights from this memoir. Perhaps it's because I've worked in the area of inclusion and special education for over 20 years, but I expected more. There were a couple little "never considered it that way" kind of nuggets sprinkled throughout several chapters, but none of the chapters--written more like vignettes--seemed to have a significant point; they were more like journal entries.
