The Varios naming their sons the same names is pure sociopathy.
But I really enjoyed this deep dive into an era I didn't know much about! Coming from someone who grew up after The Godfather it was really interesting to see what the mob was like without all the glamourizing. They really do come across as awful, classless, self centered people don't they? So interesting to realize that's the reality of organized crime.
There's a lot of names and numbers and somewhat dry information though and it made my head swim. If you're researching for the sake of research then you'll probably be delighted with that, but for a casual reader it's a bit tough to keep straight.
