Update: I finally finished by reading the dialogue only. This was rough. Had potential to be so much better but fell short in so many ways. As others have said, the heavy backstory presented in this book would’ve been better intertwined throughout all three books. The characters lacked depth. It was repetitive. Unfortunate, because I enjoyed the first book of the series greatly, but the other two got worse and worse.
Initial: I have 40 pages left and I can’t finish. Book one of this series was interesting. Books two and three are not worth your time.
